WASHINGTON, DC – The Institute of World Politics (IWP) recently launched their redesigned web site, www.iwp.edu. Built using the eResources Content Management System(eRCMS), the site is designed to enrich the educational experience of the IWP’s academic community. Michael Waller, Professor of International Communication at IWP, was extremely pleased with the new site, "eResources built us a powerful new web site that is becoming a huge force-multiplier for our small and highly specialized graduate school. The eResources managers, artists and engineers were easy and fun to work with, getting the job done on-budget and on-time." The site also provides valuable facts about tuition, housing, and student profiles. The web site will serve the student body with online functionality and resources. Enrolled students can now find information on course listings, the academic calendar, and class registration. The site also covers IWP services such as academic advising and career counseling. Additionally, eResources created a powerful search engine to help students quickly find the information they need. The Faculty section includes biographical information, high-resolution photographs, and a listing of courses taught by professors. Users can also find convenient links to recently published articles. Furthermore, the site has a Media Request feature, which allows for inquiries to IWP’s scholars and practitioners. The IWP Alumni section provides former students with an easy way to remain involved with the IWP family. Alumni can participate in Revolving Scholarship Fund, as well as find information about the Alumni Committee. Registered alumni can also receive updates about school activities and news. The Online Donation module provides alumni and other supporters the opportunity to make online contributes to IWP. Donations can be made in variety of denominations, and users can make secure online credit card payments. The IWP site will include a number of other customized eResources modules. The Personalization module allows users to register for the site and receive updates on sleeted issues. The Events section showcases IWP conferences, open houses, and other student functions. Attendees will have access to online registration, email notification, and post-conference resources. The News and Publications module highlights the published work of the IWP distinguished faculty. The site includes an impressive archive of articles, studies, and papers written by IWP professors. Users can also read abstracts and learn how to purchase books.
