WASHINGTON, DC - Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) National Internship Program unveiled the newly redesigned HNIP.net. This brand new web site will greatly enhance the web presence of HACU’s internship program. The site allows users to not only view detailed information on internships, alumni experiences, and news, but now interested students can apply online. The powerful foundation behind HNIP.net is eResources Content Management Solution(eRCMS). “We are extremely happy with the newly redesigned HNIP.net. This system will allow us to better serve our clients, especially the online application system that eResources custom designed for our needs,” commented William Gil, Executive Director of the HACU Internship Program. "This ability to apply online at HNIP.net gives prospective interns the ability to register, view internships, and apply for them online. This translates into a significant savings in both time and cost for program administrators, as well as creating a more user-friendly application system for interns." In addition to the online application system, HNIP partners will be provided with their own extranet. This extranet interface will allow partner agencies to post new internship opportunities at their agency or company and review HNIP internship matches. This tool will greatly reduce the time it takes for corporate HR managers and government agency supervisors to manage their internships. Furthermore, this tool will enhance HNIP’s position in the market place as a leading internship partner for corporations and the government. For administrators, the site will allow them to manage the internship program and web site through their web browser, and updates to the website are as simple as using a word processor. eRCMS makes it possible to have a dynamic website that is both easy to update and manage, as well as being connected to HNIP’s back-end database, making management of the internship program much less time consuming.
