The L2 Foundation (pronounced “L-squared”), a Washington, DC not-for-profit organization, has selected eResources to redesign its Web site using the eResources Content Management System (eRCMS). Based in the District of Columbia and Raleigh, NC, the organization, committed to serving the Asian American community, will use the Web site to facilitate communication with its grantees, solicit and process requests for funding, and provide general information about the foundation itself. “We’re pleased to be working with a growing, dynamic organization such as the L2 Foundation,” said Dusty Gulleson, eResources president. “While our eResources Content Management System can help an organization of any size, it’s particularly useful to smaller, growing outfits such as the L2 Foundation. As their foundation grows, their needs for their Web site will change drastically. With the eRCMS platform in place, they’ll have complete control over their Web site content. This means that their Web offerings can grow in concert with their offerings as a foundation.” Use of the eRCMS platform will also allow the L2 Foundation to control their costs, said Gulleson. “Their Web site can be maintained as it grows by existing staff with minimal training. Using eRCMS is not much harder than using Microsoft Word, for instance. So they won’t need to hire someone who has deep knowledge of HTML to keep their site current, and make their content dynamic. As the L2 Foundation Foundation grows, their Web site won’t become a tail that wags the dog—from either a budget or a staff time perspective.” The new site is scheduled to launch in August 2002.
