WASHINGTON, DC - eResources announced that is has been selected to collaborate with the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) to create a new Web system for ChristianCollegeSearch.com. The Web site, an online service of CCCU, is designed to help prospective students find in-depth information about Christian colleges and universities.
The new system, to be based on eResources’ Content Management System (eRCMS) platform, will include a search engine that allows for plain-English queries similar to those found on Ask Jeeves. eRCMS allows for simple, common-sense management of Web content without requiring that Web administrators have extensive knowledge of programming languages such as HTML, Java, or XML.
“We’re pleased that CCCU chose eRCMS as their platform for the Christian College Search Web site,” said Dusty Gulleson, eResources president. “The Content Management System works perfectly for an organization such as CCCU because theirs is a site that demands frequent updates to their Web content. eRCMS allows them to work collaboratively on their Web site in a way that’s not so different from working together on a document in Microsoft Word. And since it’s easy to use and easy to deploy their changes to the Web site itself, eRCMS will help them realize significant savings in time and money.
“eResources has found ways using eRCMS to help numerous small- to- medium size organizations save themselves a great deal of money and headaches in not only getting their Web sites up, but also keeping them current,” Gulleson continued. “eRCMS is designed to really put control of the Internet in the hands of an organization without being demanding on the technical side.
