WASHINGTON, DC – eResources today launched major consumer information web site for the University & College Accountability Network or U-CAN. This major educational initiative represents a critical step forward in providing parents and their children all the data needed to choose the right institution for them. Designed and developed by eResources project team, the web site is free for both colleges to create profiles and students to search. At launch, over 600 colleges and universities had agreed to participate.
NAICU spokesman Tony Pals praised eResources efforts, “eResources responded to a complex project, delivering exactly what was asked. Their responsiveness as the site neared launch made the difference.”
eResources created a custom, web-based data entry system that allows institutions to login and enter all relevant information, covering important topics like admissions, fields of study, demographics, tuition costs, and student life and housing. Once the data is published, the site will automatically generate a PDF version for download.
The site also has an advanced search locator that allows users to find institutions in the Member Directory based on zip code, city, state and name. The profile pages include a highly-intuitive layout with easy-to-read graphs, charts, links and help buttons for additional information.
CEO Dusty Gulleson added, “eResources is proud to participate in such an ambitious educational venture. We believe that U-CAN is a free source that allows students to effectively use the web to find the information they need to select the college that best suits their unique needs."
