WASHINGTON, DC - eResources recently released the results of a report on web trends and solution performance for its eResources Content Management System (eRCMS). Clients implementing the eRCMS have experienced a substantial increase in site traffic and it has revolutionized the way they do business. eResources CEO Dusty Gulleson commented on the findings, "These statistical results and client success online reflect positively on eResources' solutions and the expert team we have that produce these solutions. It also points to our commitment of making the clients success our number one goal in every solution we deliver." The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) is a nonprofit, higher education association. When CCCU launched the latest version of the web site, unique visits jumped to over 50,000 per month. In the last four months, CCCU has averaged over 81,000 visits per month, with a record 91,041 in April. CCCU is now experiencing the number of visits in a week that they would have received in an entire month two years ago. "eRCMS has revolutionized the way we interact with our constituents across the world," said Kevin Trowbridge, CCCU vice president for communications. "From the electronic conference registration system and growing resource library to the current listing of position vacancies on our campuses, our users are finding what they need at CCCU.org. And it would be impossible for our small staff to maintain the accurate and relevant information on CCCU.org without the eRCMS." CCCU's other program sites are also flourishing. CCCU's portal for off-campus study is BestSemester.com, which was redesigned in September 2002. The new site has exhibited remarkable growth rates since the redesign, with visits more than doubling to 13,000 per month. Collectively, the student programs now receive over 213,000 visitors annually. These statistics point to healthy, sustained growth for CCCU's web sites. Maintaining such growth levels over an extended period of time indicates the long-term impact that eRCMS can have on an organization. The American Enterprise Institute (AEI), located in Washington, DC, is one of the nation's premier public policy think tanks. Despite receiving 140,000 visits per month, AEI's previous web site was not user-friendly. The site's complicated navigation made it difficult to locate research and did not adequately promote AEI events or scholars. By implementing the eRCMS, AEI has transformed its web site into the hub of its communications effort. Since its January 2003 launch, AEI.org now receives, on averge, over 250,000 unique visits per month. That amounts to 90% increase from this time last year, an astounding growth rate. The peripheral statistics are equally impressive. Using April as a test case, the number of repeat visitors to AEI's site has increased 80%. Not only are users returning to the site, they are spending 70% longer per visit. Perhaps most importantly, the site is clearly helping AEI successfully disseminate it scholarly research; users are downloading over 29,000 documents per month. AEI has also benefited greatly from eResources' custom web modules. Utilizing the eCommerce Store module, AEI has seen their revenue from online donations and publications purchased increase. The Event Manager module that was launched with the new site has already processed close to 4000 registrations online. The online registration system provides an excellent example of how providing site interactivity and functionality will increase users to a site. This feature has also made managing events far easier for AEI staff. Another important module implemented on the AEI.org site is the personalization module called "My AEI." My AEI allows users to login and create a profile, create watch categories for content which they would like to be e-mailed upon posting, and view their account status. Since launch AEI has seen over 3,300 users start My AEI accounts. This personalization module has contributed greatly to increasing traffic on the site, the dissemination of AEI content, and the fostering of audience loyalty. The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is another organization that has benefitted from eRCMS. HACU required a new web site to administer its National Internship Program. Since launching in September of 2002, HNIP.net has received over 15,000 unique visitors per month. The online application system has led to a massive influx of applications, nearly doubling the number of potential candidates. HNIP administrators have also reported that the new system has led to an increase in the quality of the applicant pool. "William Rafael Gil, Executive Director of the HACU National Internship Program, remarked that "in addition to revamping the entire look and feel of the previous web page to a more college targeted audience, the content management system provides us the flexibility to make changes and updates almost immediately. Moreover, we also realized the need for an online application system to better connect with our target audience. The result: the largest and most best qualified applicant pool in the history of the program."
