The L2 Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization that seeks to advance the leadership and legacy of Asian Americans. Founded September 2000, L2 seeks to channel the professional success of Asian Americans through a strategic sharing of resources and developing of the new generation of leaders. Located in Washington, DC, the L2 Foundation is currently engaged in dialogue with innovative Asian Americans to create enduring programs that assist their community.
Challenge
L2 was unsure exactly what type of web site they needed, but one thing was clear: their small “brochure” site with static content was not promoting their mission. They investigated a number of off-the-shelf products, but decided that none could provide the custom solution they required. L2 approached eResources, looking for a company to help develop a vision for the web site while not straining the foundation’s technology budget.
Solution
eResources spent a substantial amount of time with the L2 Foundation staff, exploring the short and long term goals of the organization before recommending a course of action. After determining their needs, eResources developed a visually appealing, feature-rich site using the eResources Content Management System (eRCMS).
eResources created a resource center to provide L2 Foundation users with the tools to research a variety of topics; a web-based membership application for users to join L2 online; and a news center to keep members abreast of new developments within the organization. The new web site gives foundation members an enriched online experience and better enables them to network with other community members.
By breaking the technology bottleneck that plagued L2 Foundation in the past, eResources increased L2’s efficiency and empowered the organization. Free from the time-consuming hassle of HTML programming, any L2 staff member can now make updates and changes. As L2 Foundation prepares for the future, the scalable eResources Content Management System allows them to add new modules to accommodate expansion.
