WASHINGTON, DC - CCCU.org (version 3.0), the latest web system built on the eResources Content Management Solution, went live this week. The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities needed a robust, scalable, easy to manage system that would position CCCU to become the online resource for Christian higher education information. "This is definitely a flagship project for us," said eResources President Dusty Gulleson. "We had the opportunity to preview this site for several other potential clients and they've all been very impressed." The new CCCU site is a perfect example of how an organization can strategically integrate Internet technology into their everyday tasks. "We have sought to anticipate most of the questions that our constituents might have," said CCCU Communications Director Kevin Trowbridge. "We provide the answers and access to information that most users seek out front, and therefore significantly reduce the need for users to call our office with these questions. This site truly is a resource for our constituents." In addition, this site includes thousands of contact records and archived documents, several hundred tables of data that can be used to generate reports for constituents, and other sophisticated search features, making it the communications hub for the entire organization. eResources CMS has set the foundation for the future growth of CCCU.org as both a venue to reach a larger audience as well as allow CCCU staff to be more efficient and effective in executing their mission. Some of the key features of the new site are the Career Center, Resource Center, Membership Management Tool, Projects Section, Virtual Web Site Generation, Conferences Management, and News Center. The whole site is manageable through a web browser. Administrators of the site can add content, upload documents and images, and enjoy a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) environment. All content is stored in a SQL 2000 database and uses Active Server Pages (ASP).
