WASHINGTON, DC - The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) has selected eResources to redesign its Web site and Internet-based content such that it will become the premier public policy resource on the Internet for policymakers, opinion leaders, and academics. eResources will collaborate with AEI to develop a suite of Internet-based applications based on eResources’ Content Management System (eRCMS). “When we set out to award this contract, we were looking more for a partner than we were a vendor,” said Mr. Monty Brown, Vice President of Publications at AEI. “The team at eResources really took the time to understand us as an organization. We felt that they were in the best position to understand the sort of investment we could make in this project—and more importantly, they best understood the return we need to realize on this investment.” “This is, far and away, the largest program using eRCMS that we’ve ever put together,” said Dusty Gulleson, eResources president. “While the scale of our work with AEI is quite considerable, we’re committed to creating a site that’s as easy for AEI staff to maintain as it is for Web users to navigate.” In addition to overhauling the look and feel of the Web site, eResources will provide customization tools for the user interface, restructure the Institute’s online data infrastructure such that it will be better suited to long-term growth, and provide for a wide variety online applications, including a searchable database and the ability to “push” AEI content to subscribers. eResources’ Content Management System provides an intuitive Internet-based platform for Web site content management and forms the backbone of custom Internet applications designed by eResources for AEI. The new Web site, a result of the partnership between eResources and AEI, is scheduled to relaunch in January 2003.
